Device Authorization

Device Authorization

Architected the UX strategy for the company’s first device authorization software to enable users to watch premium video content.

The Challenge:
Protect  premium content by asking users to authorize the devices they use access our site. Make it simple for users to authorize and manage their devices

My Role:

  • Communicated UX strategy and information architecture to senior management.
  • Created UX strategy documents, process flows, use cases, detailed wireframes, clickable prototypes
  • Worked closely with business owners, designers, developers and quality teams throughout the agile process.
  • Incorporated iterative changes based on user testing.

The Result:
Nearly 17,000 devices were successfully authorized by users in the first week which represented an 82% conversion rate. Users with authorized devices returned 75% more frequently and watched 28% videos than average users.
